For gingival treatment, as an alternative to using the scalpel or electrosurgery. The biocompatible, hard oxide point cuts tissue without burning.

Applications include: gingivectomy, uncovering implants, interradicular debridement to remove granulation tissue, excising mucosa to expose impacted/partially impacted teeth.
