Dr Michael Ainsworth
BDS(Ubirm) PgDipPerio
Mike graduated from Birmingham University in 2002 and had the fortunate to become involved in the restoration of dental implants almost immediately upon qualification. He very quickly went on to start placing implants for himself, venturing into gradually more complex sites.
Between 2005 and 2007 Mike shifted his hard tissue grafting philosophy towards novel synthetic materials, and since 2008 has used synthetics almost exclusively in his practice and has changed his approach to grafting, developing new and adapting existing techniques to get the most out of the material in difficult situations. He has been using Ethoss since its inception and has had case published in European journal.
Mike has been placing implants for over 20 years now and has lectured both in the UK and internationally. He is currently working with the Biomaterials department at Sheffield University, having got funding for a PhD student to work on an ongoing project.
Dr Dom O'Hooley
FCGDent (UK), BDS, MFDS RCS (Eng), MFDS RCPS (Glasg), and MAGDS RCS (Ed).

Dominic, an alumnus of Liverpool University, began his career journey in 1993. His initial experience in hospital dentistry paved the way for a longstanding devotion to private dentistry, a sector in which he has flourished for more than twenty years.
His proficiency in the placement and restoration of dental implants is impressive, having handled complex procedures like bone grafting, sinus lifting, and aesthetically challenging cases for a considerable length of time.
Dominic has an innate propensity to push conventional boundaries. His engagement with EthOss®, dating back to its nascent stage, is a testament to this, as he has continuously worked on leveraging its potential.
Southern Implants' site-specific stable serves as his go-to for implant sources. His fondness for the Inverta has garnered significant attention in the field. Beyond these, he also immediately places cutting-edge implants such as the Max, all the while mastering advanced bone manipulation techniques.
With a global reach through his lectures and a prominent presence in dental literature, Dominic's contributions to the dental sphere have been exceptional. He has set a remarkable precedent by diving into the intricacies of COVID-19 and dentistry, not to mention his meticulous examination of dental regulations.
Dr Michael Tang
BDS MFGDP(UK)RCS PGDIP(IMPDENT) MSC(IMPDENT).
Michael qualified from the Glasgow Dental School in 2002 and proceeded to train and work in a mainly National Health Service clinic.
Soon after graduating, he developed a special interest in oral surgery and dental implant treatments. He pursued further training with the attendance of commercial courses, being mentored by leading clinicians in the field, as well as in academic institutions.
In 2012, he was awarded a Masters in Dental Implantology.
In recent years he acquired a particular interest in digital planning and placement of implants. He has used and explored different systems from guides assisting with pilot drilling only to fully guided systems.
He routinely uses EthOss® for grafting deficient sites when carrying out implant surgery.
As well as receiving referrals, he also mentors less experienced colleagues. Michael is currently a Clinical Teacher for the University of Central Lancashire’s Masters of Implantology programme.
