Popular for its similarity to Ethicon Vicryl whilst being more economical. Absorbable braided suture, coated to reduce drag through the tissue and sawing. Easy handling and high knot security with minimal tissue reaction. The absorption of the suture is essentially complete between 56 and 70 days. All the original tensile strength is lost by five weeks post implantation.
