New ethOss Course Date Released

We are delighted to announce the latest ethOss event which will take place at the stunning Carlowrie Castle in Edinburgh on Saturday 22 May 2021.

The day will focus on grafting techniques using synthetic regeneration materials (ethOss) and is suitable for clinicians new to working with this material wanting to learn the basics as well as those more familiar who are looking for advanced tips and techniques.

The event will be hosted by Dr Peter Fairbairn and guest speaker Dr Jenny Kabir, who will each present their own cases and protocols when working with ethOss.

Morning and Afternoon Sessions

The morning session, which will begin at 9.15am following registration, will focus on a number of introductory topics, including combining "True Bone Regeneration" grafting techniques with ethOss to achieve predictable, optimal outcomes, as well as case studies from Dr Fairbairn and Dr Kabir detailing their own clinical experiences, with topics including:

Why “True Bone Regeneration”? Overview of research and personal experiences

  • Graft material selection – how to choose
  • Removing the traditional collagen membrane
  • Applying this ethos to a wide variety of clinical situations

Running from 1.00pm until 4.30pm, the afternoon session will examine more advanced subjects, such as using ethOss in challenging, advanced grafting procedures where “routine” techniques may not be sufficient.

The speakers will also present case studies from their own clinical experience, addressing a range of innovative techniques including:

  • “Tenting” with resorbable sutures to increase graft stability
  • Tunnel grafting
  • Using ethOss to treat cysts and apicectomies
  • Combining ethOss with densification burs
  • Partial Extraction Therapy

There will be a Q&A session at the end of both the morning and afternoon’s lectures.

The course, which will implement full COVID-safe policies throughout the day, carries up to 6 hours of verifiable CPD.

A course fee of £50 is required when reserving your place. Refunds for any cancellations are available up to three weeks prior to the event. Any cancellations after May 1 are, sadly, non-refundable.
